Dr. Lyons is the “big picture” leader of the Center. His responsibilities include:
- Developing the Center’s long term vision and mission
- Securing and allocating the budget
- Working with University of Delaware faculty and staff
- Identifying opportunities for education, research, and collaboration
- Developing formal education programs

Ed manages the day to day operations of the Center. His responsibilities include:
- Implementing the vision and mission
- Building relationships and collaborations with public garden stakeholders
- Managing the research and information resource archive
- Updating the website
- Developing professional education programs
- Managing the budget
- Creating promotional materials
